after driving all the way
to drumheller, alberta
it turns out you have to pay
to go inside that giant dinosaur
but i guess that's not what it's about
there's looking at ancient things
thinking about our existence
touching history
hiking through hoodoos
scaling cliffs in the wind
and standing all together
on the top of the badlands
sitting at a picnic table
right next to the river
drinking wine, talking
about who we want to be
and all of these things
even just by themselves
are so much better than going
inside that dinosaur anyway
